Overview
To create a modern, engaging, and user-friendly annual report website for TM that effectively communicates the company's performance, achievements, and future vision to its stakeholders.
Project Objectives
We aim to align the website design with TM's overall branding and marketing strategy at the same time ensuring that the website adheres to relevant data security and privacy regulations.
Improve Readability and Accessibility
Enhance Visual Appeal
Seamless Navigation and Interactivity
Target Audience/ User Groups
TM's annual report needs a website tailored for its distinct audiences: investors seeking financial details and growth prospects, employees craving company performance updates and engagement, and the general public interested in sustainability, impact, and brand reputation. Catering to each group's information needs while upholding brand consistency is key to a successful website.
Heuristic Evaluation
The critique process I went through in finding the usability and experience problems resides in the current interface so that they can be attended to as part of an interactive design process later.

Focus Group Research

We have conducted a focus group research to collect feedbacks and opinions from 8 - 10 individuals to test the usability, functionality,
and intuitiveness of TM Annual Report 2022 website as well as the proposed design based on a few topics and tasks given.
Task 1: You're currently in an inner page (Home > Business Review).
Which button would you click to navigate yourself to the home page again?

Result shows that 75% of the users have failed to return to the home page,
Only 25% of the users have successfully performed the task with an average time of 16.9s.
Task 2: Download the full integrated annual report file (from menu, any sections or pages)

Result shows that 100% of the users have successfully performed the task. 5 users spent
more than 2 mins to perform the task, while 1 user spent more than 5 mins to complete the task
Clickmap
Users are making use of the download menu button. Users find it confusing at the downloads section, not knowing what to click in order to download the full integrated annual report
Session Recording
We will analyse the user's behaviour based on the session recording and identify any pain points or usability issues.
Quantitative Research
75% of the users think that having a download section is efficient and useful, while 13% stays neutral and another 13% don't really find it useful.

Qualitative Research

The insights gathered will determine what the users like or dislike about the existing website. The responses we have gathered can be categorised into Interactivity, Navigation, and User Experience.
Competitor Analysis
We've done an analysis across the competitor's website to benchmark the new website for TM AR2024 in terms of features, usabilities, user interface, etc.
Delivered Solutions
Interaction Design
Interactive visualizations like charts and graphs can make complex financial data digestible and engaging. Users can filter, drill down, and explore details on their own terms.
Internal Anchor Links
Internal links within the website allow users to jump directly to relevant sections, bypassing lengthy scrolling and navigation menus. This saves time and improves the user experience, especially for those seeking specific information.
Contextually Relevant Suggestions
Based on the section a user is reading, offer links to other sections containing related information or deeper dives into specific topics.
